About the Event

The 2020 42nd Annual International Gas-Lift Workshop will be held in Houston, Texas, on June 1st – 5th, 2020.

2020 General Chair: Chandran Peringod with Brunei Shell will be General Chair for 2020.

Anu Sood with Conoco Phillips will be Vice Chair. The Vice Chair will become the Chair for the following year.

There will be Continuing Education on June 1 and 2, Technical Presentations on June 3 and 4, and an API Gas Lift Meeting on June 5. The API meeting will be held in the Norris Convention Center, in a Room to be Announced..

Hotel Details

The 2020 Workshop will be held at the Norris Conference Center in West Houston, Texas, USA. We recommend staying at the Hotel Sorella. We need to use at least 15 room nights per night to receive the special rate.

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hotel Sorella CityCentre for the Gas Lift Workshop. This is the hotel that is connected to the Norris Conference Center.

Guests will now be able to make their reservations by calling the hotel’s toll-free number at 1-866-842-0100 and asking for the Gas-Lift Workshop Guestroom Block.

There is a foot bridge to the Norris Conference Center. The Hotel is offering a special rate for Gas Lift Workshop attendees of $169 per night. The deadline to receive this rate is May 29, 2020.

Cost to Register for the Workshop

These costs include Workshop attendance, Workshop materials, breakfasts, lunches, welcome reception (Tuesday, June 9) and Workshop dinner (Wednesday, June 10). All prices are in US dollars.

Attendees of the Workshop:
$650.00 (Before May 24, 2020)
$750.00 (May 24, 2020 and after)

Discounted cost for active API Gas-Lift Work Group/Task Group Members who are actively working on API documents.  You must confirm your membership on the API teams to receive the discount:
$550.00 (Before May 24, 2020)
$500.00 (May 24, 2020 and after)

Students (must be in full-time attendance at a School of Higher Education)*:
*Due to the significant discount, the number of students who will be accepted at this cost will be limited to 10.  They will be accepted on a “First Come, First Served” basis

Cost to Register for the Continuing Education Courses

You may choose one of the following two-day courses:

  • Gas-Lift Design
  • Gas-Lift Troubleshooting and Surveillance
  • Gas-Lift Automation and Optimization

$150 (Students)

$700.00 (May 24, 2020 and after)

Costs include course attendance, materials, breakfasts, and lunches.

Cost to Register for Exhibit Areas

Single Booth:
$1500.00 (Before May 24, 2020)
$2000.00 (May 24 and later)

Double Booth:
$2500.00 (Before May 24, 2020)
$3000.00 (May 24 and later)

Discount off normal workshop registration fee, for one person per paid exhibit:
$250.00 Discount

Cost per person to see/staff exhibits only, and not attend technical presentations or courses:
$150.00 per day

Please make certain your exhibit/display items fit within the size you have selected. If any change is needed in the size, or in the exhibit contact, please notify Ronda Brewer immediately. Information about shipping/receiving exhibit materials will be sent out at least one month prior to the workshop date. Please check this website for periodic updates. Exhibits should be installed on Monday morning or afternoon, June 3, 2019. They must be set up before the reception on Tuesday evening. They may be taken down after the last break on Thursday, June 6, 2019.
